Our ‘Meet the Artists’ Reception

FOR

"Spain in Color and B & W"and "Glorious Glass."

Friday, September 27th, 2013

5-9 PM

(Exhibit is available through Saturday, October 20th)

The Spain of today reflects both the very old and the very new - architecturally, culturally and psychologically. Bull fighting is still revered but possibly as more of a bow to tradition with, just perhaps, (shhhh) more power than religion. Religion is everywhere. Ancient cathedrals allow you to feel like you are being guided by the those from before while the Bascilica de la Sagrada Familia, has managed to remain contemporary from 1882 through today, and remains an unfinished statement without looking “old” and suppresses a sense of humor while honoring the ages.

“Glorious Glass” features work from several artists who have mastered ancient glasswork techniques with a modern twist. From glass bead work of the finest quality to glass etchings and painting to glass fusion and “A leap off the bridge” approach support and coalesce with the dichotomies of Spain today.

exhibits are changed monthly. “Meet the artists” receptions are held every final friday of the month. For information call 303-814-3300.
