Construction Began on "Montana Vista" in Castle Rock, CO

Construction has begun on a new development in Castle Rock called Montana Vista. It will include office, retail and possible restaurant space. Located on Allen Way across the street to the north of Panera, it is on a hill with great views to the south. Stucy properties will send us a press release about the development soon with more details on the development.

Did you know 64 million years ago, Colorado was a lush tropical rainforest? Did you know that 37 million years ago, a volcano near Buena Vista exploded, covering Castle Rock with a 20- to 30-feet thick layer with what is now known as Castle Rock Rhyolite?

You'll learn this and more hiking the Native Legend Open Space in the Meadows area of Castle Rock.

Local Talent Show Raises Money for Fire Victims

When Joe and Carol Givan named the fundraiser for victims of a downtown fire the “Anything Goes” Talent Show, they weren’t kidding.

The show Feb. 7 at the Theatre of Dreams drew a clearinghouse of talent for the standing-room-only crowd, with acts from across the Front Range. Amateur performers shared the stage with future stars, including the night’s winner, an 11-year-old graduate of the theater’s magic camp for area youth.
