Kiwanis of Castle Rock Stars of Tomorrow Winners

2013 Stars of Tomorrow talent show was held at the Lone Tree Arts Center.

Nearly 30 Douglas County students competed for more than $4,000 in scholarships from the Kiwanis Clubs of Castle Rock and Douglas County.

Aspen View Academy Charter School to Open in the Meadows

Aspen View Academy

The Aspen View Academy charter school will be opening its campus in Castle Rock in 2013 to help the Douglas County School District alleviate some capacity concerns in The Meadows.

The public charter school broke ground this fall and will open in September 2013 with a roster of about 600 to 650 students in kindergarten through sixth grade, expanding to eighth grade with 800 to 850 students by the 2015-16 school year.

Rink at the Rock - Skating Extended through March 3rd!

Skating Downtown is a Big hit!

The Rink at the Rock is a big hit in downtown Castle Rock! The 50 X 100 foot rink is located at 414 Perry St. and will remain open through March 3. The Rink offers open skating, ice skating lessons, broomball, special events and other activities. Rates are Adults (12+) $6, Children under 12 $4. Skates are available to rent for $3.

Family Skate

The Rink at the Rock is pleased to welcome families to play together! Sunday evenings, 5:00-8:00 p.m. are dedicated to family skate sessions. All others are welcomed to skate, as well. $5 entry for all, includes skates!

Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Monday 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday/Wednesday 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Thursday 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Friday 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
